On Monday we left early to get on the road and see Savannah. Val wanted to go there, because there are some ghost tours you can do there. Sounded good to me since I love some ghost haunting too, and I could see some more of the USA .

Upon arrival we went to an okay restaurant. For the first time ever I ate some crab cakes . Those were pretty good I gotta say ^^. After that we went some exploring along the river and look at some awesome cute shops .

After some sightseeing we got on a Ghost Tour bus to have a little ghost haunting tour. That was pretty fun I gotta say. Heard some very interesting ghost stories and also saw more of Savannah. And it’s truely a lovely place with all the beautifull trees and houses.

After the Ghost Tour we still hang around for a bit, before we decided to go in the car and head towards Orlando… Or maybe not . Adam suddenly had this good idea to drive towards St. Augustine. Also for some sightseeing at the fortress they have and see more shops . So before we knew it, we were heading off to St. Augustine and found ourselves a hotel .

Last day of FWA 2010 starting today. Time flies sooo fast when your having fun! Besides for some fursuiting, talking, getting some commissions, it was pretty basic. Just those 3 stuff already keeps you busy for the entire day.

The most interesting part was starting in the evening . Apollo was sooooo drunk, he started doing some crazy stuff. LV is making a video of that at the moment, so it will be posted on her LiveJournal quite soon . It will also contain me and Val having some fun in our suits. It shocked us though that it was so quiet down there. Hardly any people were there. Quite a sad looking sight.

Soooo, my conclusions for FWA 2010? It was greeeeeeat . I’ve met so many nice people, new people, old friends . It was such a blast! Also hanging out with Lacy, Nick, LatinVixen, Adam, Marc, Apollo, Trigger Fox, Moonstalker and Remi just made it all soooo good .
But I gotta admit that the con itself, was a bit of a let down. But I heard that from many people this year. Apparently the Dealers Den did very poorly this year in getting some money. But also the whole con itself with the events and the con space, was a bit different for me. Normally at EuroFurence you have loads of space to run around at and have fun. In a hotel it’s just so much more limiting. It’s a shame though, but ahh well! The whole reason this con was such a blast for me was because of the people.

So it’s time to say goodbye to the Hilton Atlanta and leave a very good experience behind!

Soooo, were off sleeping for one last night and on Monday, we will go see Savannah .

After having some sleep, it was time to start having fun at the con and meet new people and go out fursuiting . Val and Adam were off to the Dealers Den to sell some awesome stuff . So this just opened up possibilities.

It felt sooooo good meeting people who I know online for sooooo long . This was like a dream came true! I’ve met awesome people like Lenny Mutt, Skroy, Spook, Frisbee, Jase Husky, Marc, Lacy, Nick, Remi and soooooo many other nice people . But let’s not forget some familiar faces as well. Like Tig Wolf, Jaeger Fuchs, WhiteyFawks, Blotch, KuddlePup, ZotCoon and many more .

Also during the day, me and Tig and Jase went to the hotel next to the Hilton Atlanta. Which is a really big and high hotel. About 42 floors I thought it was and the elevator up there made your ears pop cause it was going so fast and it was so high . It was cool . Felt a bit like Tower of Terror .

For dinner we wanted to go to a place called The Vortex, but sadly enough it was full. So we went to another awesome place called Gordon Biersch. Beautifull looking restaurant with excellent food! And the best part about it??? FREE REFILLS AND FREE BREAD . What the hell??? We don’t have that in our country . But the food was awesome and I had a really good time eating there with friends . The BBQ salmon was huge and cheap .

In the evening, we all got out and did some fursuiting. That was a lot of fun too, cause Trigger let Remi wear his fursuit. And she is this cute awesome girl that is smaller then Trigger. She did an awesome job on the dance floor . Being all cute and small and stuff. Good stuff .

Not much pictures yet of FWA 2010, but ahh well. They will come soon or later .

So far having such a blast in the USA with my friends . Everything is so different then Europe. It’s bigger, cheaper and so much good stuff around. The scenery is beautifull, the weather is sunny and hot. This is the best trip I have ever been too! And all thanks to my wonderfull hosts!

Woow… Where to begin. We just got back from a wonderfull weekend at the Furry Weekend Atlanta 2010 convention. I’m gonna go try and post stuff about the con and get a little story going. Will also be mixed with stuff that more or less have nothing to do with FWA .

Last Friday evening me, Val and Adam were in the car on our way from Orlando to Atlanta. The trip was about 6 hours long. For us Europeans, that’s a long trip, but for some reason it doesn’t feel that long in the USA. The billboards next to the highway keep you entertained.

I can’t really remember anymore what we did on Friday evening, but all I can remember is that we moved all our stuff into the room. We were having a room with Moonstalker, Trigger Fox and Apollo. But I do remember how BIG the hotel was and how many people were already there. I was simply amazed by how different the USA  cons already looked compared to the European ones. It was amazing!
We had a nice view on the city and the rooms were big and nice. It’s really so much different then in Europe. Where you even pay more for less.

So the first day at FWA went quite fast because we arrived late. We did managed to still register and get our badges and stuff. It’s also cool you get a free poster .

So that was pretty much day 1 so far. Will post day 2 in a bit .

After a long trip towards the USA, I am finally at the home of LatinVixen and Adam! The flight went very well. Everything was on time and the flight went good too. First was from Amsterdam to Philidelphia with US Airways and then a transfer flight towards Orlando. There were no delays in the first flight and the bagage arrived even quicker before I got to the belt .
The customs and immigrations at PHL didn’t gave me a hard time. Of course I was picked out by a officer to open up my bags and have a look. He even looked up the FWA website to make sure that my trip was legit .
Ahh well ^^. After the customs I was in the freaking US of A . OMG I still couldn’t believe it! Seeing all those American talking people and all the shops that only the USA has. It was soooo weird being in the country I always wanted to be for so long .

Anyway, Moonstalker and Apollo were waiting for me at the bagage claim to bring me to Val’s house. The whole trip towards her house I was just looking my eyes out . Soooo coool . Even the highways are cool. And the houses are just like I thought it would be. It still feels so unreal, but soooo much fun . So arriving at Val’s house (huuuuge house), were I also met Trigger for the first time . Very cool guy!
We also went to visit Wal Mart to get some stuff. OMG, I knew Wall Mart was big, but not that BIG . It has everything! It almost makes you think you don’t need anything else then Wall Mart haha.

So after getting settled a bit and trying to stay awake because of my jetlag, we finally went to bed and I was gone in like a minute . The first impressions of the USA were too much so I fell asleep before I knew it .

Anyway, I just woke up and no idea yet what the planning is gonna be for today, but I am having fun so far . Wohooooo ^^

Starting from the 24th of March 2010, I will start my first journey to the United States of America! I am looking ever so forward to this trip! All my life I have been hearing and seeing stuff about this country, and now it is time to experience it for myself. At least some parts of it that is haha. The USA is very big .

I’ve started this blog because a friend of mine, Karpour, is doing the exact same thing. And that is blogging all the ins and outs while he is in America. Now I really like this idea as well and will be doing the same. Every day I will try and post my journal for that day. Along with any pictures or videos I made during the day. Now of course I am very much dependend on the internet access, so there is a chance it will take a few days before I am able to post. But considering where I will be spending my time, it shouldn’t be a problem.

Now my trip will start in Orlando, Florida. Where I will be spending time with LatinVixen and everybody who is around that area. Lot’s of my friends are in Orlando area, so this will be great! How ever, before I really get to enjoy Orlando itself, on the 25th of March we are off to the furry convention Furry Weekend Atlanta, which is of course in Atlanta haha. Lot’s of my friends that I know online will be there and it will be the first meet as well. So I am looking  very forward to spend a few days time with them in a big hotel with lot’s of things to do. And it will be the very first time fursuiting as well ^_^.

After FWA I will be spending about 10 days in Orlando along with Val. Going to hang out the tourist in that region. Doing some sightseeing, spending time at good restaurants, going to Disneyland and Universal. The whole 10 days are filled with fun fun fun! Also if things work out okay, will be spending some time with Kuddlepup as well.

Soooo, I have some awesome trip ahead of me! Everything has been taken care off. Passport is ready, ESTA has approved me, flight tickets are booked. Now it’s the long wait before the trip starts….
